About Us
Bringing Back the Magic of an Old-Fashioned Christmas
At Old School Christmas Farm, we believe the holidays should feel like they used to — simple, joyful, and filled with wonder. Nestled in the heart of Red House, West Virginia, our family-run farm is home to real reindeer, cozy fireside moments, and holiday experiences that help families reconnect and create cherished memories.
We’re proud to be West Virginia’s first and only reindeer farm, offering something truly magical for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re sipping cocoa, meeting Santa, or petting our friendly reindeer, we invite you to slow down and experience the season the old school way.

Our Story
Founded by Maggie Blankenship, Old School Christmas Farm is a labor of love rooted in Appalachian tradition, family values, and a deep passion for agritourism.
With over 8 years of experience running successful seasonal farm events, and having visited over 50 farms and 10 reindeer farms across the U.S., Maggie envisioned something different for West Virginia.
Together with her husband Cody, her parents Greg and Patty Parsons, and a team of cheerful helpers, the farm was brought to life with one simple mission: revive the spirit of old-fashioned Christmas traditions and make them accessible for every family.
Why Reindeer?
We wanted to create something unforgettable. While many farms offer lights and Santa, reindeer capture the heart of Christmas — magical, mysterious, and rarely seen up close. Our reindeer are lovingly cared for and come with stories, facts, and personality. Meeting them is an experience our visitors will never forget.
